Three Simple Hacks To Being A Productive Entrepreneur.
Written by Daniel Iannacito on Nov. 24th 2019
Being an entrepreneur looks cool on Instagram, it seems like we all have the infinity pool Bali
lifestyle, but if you ACTUALLY are one, you know damn well it’s nowhere near like that – especially
when you’re just starting out.

In reality, we’re spending a minimum of 14 hours a day building our business. The problem is, we
can get easily distracted.

And for every minute that we’re distracted, we’re losing opportunity.

Below are three ways to be more productive throughout the workday:

1 . Unsubscribe.

Unsubscribe from every single email list that does not pertain to your entrepreneurial aspirations.

50% Off The Body Shop Products? Unsubscribe.

Apple has a big Black Friday sale? Unsubscribe.

Starve every single distraction in your life, and give yourself no option but to focus.

The way to focus more, is to remove distraction.

Oh and – this applies to the people you hang out with as well. If they’re not on the same mission as you, unsubscribe from them as well.

2. Exercise

I don’t exercise to stay in shape – that’s just the added benefit.

I exercise because I have energy like a 7-year-old boy when I walk out of the gym. And that energy lets me stay on top of my money-making, business-building game all day long.

Trust me, I’ve tested it. I’ve purposely not gone to the gym for a day or two, and by the time 4PM EST hits, I’m dead.

I mean, I’m alive, but mentally, I’m done.

So instead of working until 9PM like I normally do on days when I exercise, I work until 4PM on the days I don’t.

That’s 5 hours I lose.

Multiply that by 7 days, that’s 35 hours a week.

Multiply that by 4 weeks, that’s 140 hours a month.

Multiply that by 12 months, that’s 1,680 hours I lose of quality productive work a year – all because of not exercising.

I don’t know about you, but I have no idea how long I’ll be on this planet, so I sure as hell don’t plan on wasting time doing meaningless shit.

So to summarize – exercise is important.

3. Plan.

You can exercise everyday, you can focus on everyday, but if you have no reason why you’re doing any of that, you’re basically just in LaLa land.

You’ll wake up one morning and ask yourself…

“Why am I doing all of this again?”

And if you find yourself asking that, there’s NO WAY you can be productive.

You must plan.

Plan your day, plan your week, plan your month, plan your year, plan your freaking decade.

Because when you have a plan, you have a purpose.

And with a purpose, you’ll always have a direction, and with direction, you become completely zoned in on where you’re going.

Having no plan is like setting out to sea to find treasure with no map.

You can sail for years, and you might find nothing.

So, here’s what you need to do.

Set a numerical, tangible goal for December 31, 2020.

Then, plan your year and reverse engineer that year into months, weeks, and then days.

After you do that, you’ll have a plan, and you’ll know what you need to do and how to get there.

So here’s the deal.

You’ve read up to this point and you’re probably saying yourself…

“I already knew all of this”.

If you knew this, then why are you scrolling through my LinkedIn or Facebook right now and reading this?

Action Items:

1. Go into your inbox right this moment and unsubscribe from every single email that has NOTHING to do with your vision. Go to your Instagram account, and unfollow every single person who won’t support your vision.

2. Grab your workout bag, stuff your workout clothes in them, and put your workout bag beside your bed. When you wake up in the morning, grab that bag, and go sweat your ass off. Repeat this daily.

3. Grab a piece of paper/whiteboard, write one number it – the income you want per month as of December 31, 2020. Now, put that whiteboard someplace where you can see it every day. Breakdown how you’re going to attain that income monthly, weekly, and then into days.
